'Oldest friend in the Ford!'

Created by Donna 3 years ago
Emma called me her oldest friend in Chandlers Ford because, apparently, I was the first person to speak to her in the playground of Chandlers Ford Infant School.  I used to joke that I must learn to keep my mouth closed!  In truth it was the start of a wonderful friendship.

When the girls were at school, Emma and I took Edward and Dominic to Little Foresters.  Whilst the boys ran around the forest and made woodland items, Emma and I literally froze.  We both craved tea and took turns in bringing a flask to keep the chill out.

When Elissa and Edward moved to a different school Emma and I still stayed in contact.  We enjoyed lots of mum and children days out in the school holidays ranging from treasure trails to trips to country parks and they even joined us when we were camping one year.  Whenever we had a free day, Elizabeth and Dominic would always request to go out with Emma, Elissa and Edward because they were such fun and I wish I had taken more photographs to remember those times…..
Emma was beautiful, intelligent, compassionate, humorous and creative.  We met most weeks where she helped me cut out for my sewing classes and, more recently, we walked almost daily- the conversation never ran dry.  She was such a good friend and I miss her dreadfully.  She will always be in my heart and thoughts and will never be forgotten.
