Pimms in Chandlers Ford

Created by Christine 3 years ago

During non-covid times Emma and I would see each other nearly every day at pick up or drop off and have a chat about the children or the university or life in general and make plans for meeting up, either at the theatre or just for a cup of tea. Emma was always organised and always planning and found some amazing things for us to do and see.

Despite seeing her most days for several years, she was still full of surprises and I remember a perfect afternoon in the early summer of 2020 when we headed to the open space of Valley Park with another friend, Francesca. The boys were playing cricket and the girls were sat chatting nearby, and Emma pulled out three cans of Pimms from her bag. It was a complete surprise and made for a perfect afternoon - just right for the time when term was nearly ending and lockdown was easing. Emma was always generous, always thoughtful and lots of fun.

As a family we are so grateful that we had a chance to know her and spend time with her and as a friend, she has taught me a great deal about taking time for people and ensuring that there’s always something positive in the diary to look forward to.
