Emma who will always be loved

Created by Helen 3 years ago

I worked with Emma for thirteen years at St. Mary's Lodge in Leamington Spa and we were very close. St Mary's Lodge is a mental health service for adults with a range of traumatic experiences and psychological needs. Emma helped hundreds of service users and was always kind, caring, professional and genuine. As a group of Clinical Psychologists working with her (myself, Dan, Jeanette, Jacqui and Pauline) we had some fun times and also supported each other with lifes' ups and downs and had a few party's as well!!

When Emma and her family moved to Southampton I helped her to get a job at Southampton University where I teach once a year on Working in Low and Middle Income Countries in Africa to the Masters Students there. I always looked forward to meeting Emma when I taught the students once a year. We used to enjoy lunch and a good catch up there. Unfortunately I did not see Emma this June 2020 as hoped as the lecture was online due to COVID.

I am still really shocked by this tragedy and Emma will always be loved and in my thoughts.

With my sincerest sympathies and all my love to all Emma's family, Elissa and Edward
